Taiwanese enjoy hiking very much — which is strange, because they hate walking — and the mountains are criss-crossed by trails, especially near urban areas. If you are fortunate to live a few minutes away from a hill or peak, you can enjoy many a pleasant hour strolling through lush greenery while dodging motorcycles zooming past you.

We are lucky to live a few minutes walk from the Ta-Ken Scenic area, which is full of trails. Today we put together an hour to enjoy a hike up the Number 8 trail of the Ta-Ken Scenic area. Here are a few photos of the experience!
